The fall series just started tonight and what a great Wednesday night beer can race. We had solid winds of 10-15 out of the ESE. The course was a North/South mark and perfectly laid out for these conditions. M.E. had to work late, but I was able to skip out around 3:30 today to meet up with my good friend, Dan. He has a Beneteau 311 which is an absolute blast to race in the cruising class. What a great way to spend another beautiful Wednesday afternoon.
Irene has now been updated and it is expected to hold well offshore of St.Augustine. The swell began to roll in this evening and was already chest high. Tomorrow should be quite an interesting day for surf. I can’t wait to get up and check the 5 A.M. Reports coming in for the area and further South in Florida. Hoping to get some good shots tomorrow evening so check back then for an updated Hurricane Irene Surf Report!
