Today was supposed to be a chore day just like every other day of the week recently.  It seems though that we have a real problem with meeting too many interesting people and we have a hard time getting things done around the boat. We were able to do laundry and then make lunch but that’s about as far as we got with our chores.

I had met a guy last night at the bar that was having a raft-up drift down the creek with his friends and fellow restaurant workers and he had asked if we’d like to join.  Surprisingly enough he showed up mid afternoon to our boat with some friends. We all chilled for a while on the boat then went and hung out on his front porch and watched the cars pass by on Front Street all afternoon.  Great way to spend the day rocking back and forth in a rocking chair.

He asked us if we wanted to do a sunset happy hour and of course we replied with a yes! We hopped in the dinghy and took a tour of the harbor, as we made our way out to Fish Tales for drinks and some food. Winnie, the bartender there, was a trip and we ended up having a great evening hanging out with her.
We packed it back in the dinghy and headed downtown to meet up with some other people we had met earlier in the day.  A few drinks later and we were back home in bed and getting ready for “chore day” tomorrow.

I think I’m going to bite the bullet and get a big chunk of my list knocked out. Oh right, and one more thing…we are out of water and the windlass doesn’t want to work anymore. Just two more small tasks to add to the never ending list.
