Last night was pretty calm and nothing exciting happened. We arrived in Bocas this morning at 8 AM and dropped the hook in the North anchorage. I called the port captain and officials so we could get checked in. With in an hour they all arrived by boat and the paperwork took less than 30 minutes. It was a very easy ordeal and they were extremely welcoming to have us here in Panama. After we finished up with them and paid all of our fees to 6 different officials we were free to roam.
First line of business was to find some cheap local beer and begin walking around town. Obviously you know where this leads too. One bar after another bar with maybe a restaraunt or food cart thrown in the mix here and there. It was great to be off the boat after being at sea for 5 days. One thing led to another and I ended up falling asleep in the cockpit around 9PM.
Around 4 AM I get woken up by Austin wondering what the hell I’m doing sleeping in the cockpit. In return I’m wondering what the hell he is doing getting home at 4AM. I can tell already life here in Bocas is going to be really good and really interesting. Let the fun begin!
