Cheese Steak Central

Its hard to believe that I woke up this morning and was already at the train station before the sun rose.  I got off to a great start with FREE McDonald’s for breakfast down near Love Park.  After that a quick stop at the library to get some work done and research about the city for a couple of hours.

I must have the golden horseshoe today because after walking around exploring for a few hours I come across this guy.  He was handing out FREE ice cream for Ben 95.7 FM.  I just can’t seem to get away from the free food today.  Add another score to my list for the free lunch program.

I toured some local museums along with the Liberty Bell, Penn’s Landing, South Street, and Elfreth’s Alley.  Dinner was a bomb ass Philly cheese steak from none other than Jim’s Steaks serving up Phillies finest since 1939.  There are so many interesting places to check out here to opportunities are endless.

Long day would be an understatement about today.  I walked roughly seven miles covering the city back and forth.  I saw some incredible historic sites and met plenty of interesting characters along the way.  I started at 5AM and sat under the moon waiting for my bus out of town at 10PM.  It was busy, but the again it was a total blast.
