River Run

This morning started off with a hike on the Jess Weaver Trail.  A beautiful hike along a creek that carries you up about 4000 ft in elevation.  I’m definitely not use to the elevation changes though.  After a long day of hiking or paddling my body can feel the aches and pains.  I’m starting to get used to it though and love how active it is out here all of the time.

After a long exhausting hike in the midday sun it was time to hit the river.  Jess and I did a run down Shoshone to cool off for a bit and have a little midday adventure after lunch.  This one section of the river runs about a mile long and is filled with fun simple rapids.  Its just a nice stretch of river to run for a break in the afternoon or when you get done with work in the evenings.

The sun was just beginning to set when Andrew showed up to go out for a night of four wheeling in the mountains.  I honestly didn’t really know what to expect.  The ride up into the mountains was insanely awesome.  The views were spectacular of the entire valley and river below.  We even took time out to drive some golf balls off the mountain flats.
