Yansaladup

A quick view of our sail today from Porvenir to the East Lemmon Cays.  Lucky for me I was able to get all the electronic charts from Trevor this morning.  A complete lifesaver when your cruising down here.  The navigation is pretty intense, but if you keep a close eye on the depth sounder and the reefs around you then it seems to be OK.

We dropped anchor directly behind Yansaladup Island.  One thing about cruising here is the anchoring is deep, anywhere between 30-50 feet of water.  If your planning on cruising the San Blas you’d better bring a ton of chain!

I did some quick surgery on my foot digging out a huge thorn that has been stuck in there for two weeks now.  After that was completed we went for an incredible ocean snorkel. The reef here is pretty amazing filled with crazy caves, tunnels, and massive ledges.  Plenty of bright coral and colorful fish as well.  Sunset drinks, some more boat work, dinner, and then off to bed.
